THE BLUE CAVES

The Blue Caves are a magical highlight of our swimming tours in Montenegro. While we avoid the famous and crowded main cave for safety reasons, we explore more intimate and lesser-known caves where the vibrant blues of the Adriatic truly come alive. Here, without the buzz of tourist boats, you can fully immerse yourself in the tranquility of these hidden gems. The dazzling colors, created by sunlight reflecting off the sandy seabed, provide a serene and natural experience unlike any other.

SUBMARINE TUNNELS

Our exploration of the submarine tunnels offers a fascinating glimpse into Montenegro’s maritime history. Built in the 1970s by the Yugoslav navy, these tunnels once housed submarines and small ships. While swimming inside the tunnels is technically possible, we strongly discourage it due to the high volume of tourist boat traffic, which can pose safety risks. Instead, we’ll guide you on a walking tour within these impressive structures. This provides a unique perspective and a safer, more enriching way to appreciate their scale and history. Later, we’ll swim near the tunnels—on the cleaner and quieter outside—where the water is pristine and inviting.

After our morning swim, we will explore the picturesque town of Perast. Located along Boka Bay, it may be small but it is rich in history. Perast was originally settled in by the Illyrians and heavily influenced by its Venetian inhabitants. The Republic of Venice owned Perast between 1420 and 1797 which is evident in its baroque architecture and maritime history.

OUR LADY OF THE ROCKS

I'm a paragraph. Click here to add your own text and edit me. It's easy.

Our Lady of the Rocks is an island steeped in captivating legend. According to local lore, sailors returning from their voyages discovered an image of the Mother of God on a rock jutting from the sea. When they took the picture and brought it back with them, it mysteriously reappeared in its original place on the rock days later. In awe of this divine sign, the sailors vowed to throw stones into the sea upon each return home. Over the centuries, their devotion created an island, on which a church was later built to honor the Mother of God.
